Stories from the Set: Creating and Maintaining Safe Spaces

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming roundtable discussion, “Stories from the Set: Creating and Maintaining Safe Spaces” taking place on 30 May 2026 at 12:00 PM (PDT) via Zoom. Led by members of the ICLS DEIA Committee, this session will open an honest and practical conversation around everyday communication challenges on set.

The roundtable will feature contributions from: Simone Perusse ICLS; Jessica Plaxton ICLS; Brian Fisher ICLS; Ian Glenister ICLS; Jeremy Graham ICLS; Uki Amaechi ICLS (Assoc); and will be moderated by Dessie Coale ICLS, Chair of the DEIA Committee at ICLS.

Drawing from real experiences, the panelists will explore how they navigate situations involving communication, intergenerational dynamics, leadership, interdepartmental collaboration, and moments where consideration and respect may be lacking on set.

This roundtable is designed to be interactive and reflective, offering a space for shared learning, open dialogue, and practical takeaways that can be applied across productions and teams.
